Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab position requiring 2 years of cath lab experience and active IL RN licensure.

Details

  • Combined Cath Lab/IR department with 4 procedure rooms and dedicated Cath and IR staff
  • Level 2 Trauma Center with Level 2 NICU and Primary Stroke Center designation, Magnet-designated facility
  • Patient types include invasive cardiology, structural heart program, AAA repairs, TAVRs, and ablations (required), with IR biopsies and peripheral interventions preferred
  • Procedure room staffed with 2 nurses and 1 tech per case
  • Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday 0730-1600, 40 hours per week
  • Uses EPIC and MERGE charting systems
  • Floating required between Cath Lab and IR based on skillset
  • Weekend rotation required approximately every 4th weekend
  • Call requirements of approximately 10 days per month, including 1 week every 3 weeks covering 530pm-730am weekdays and 24/7 weekends
  • Holiday coverage as needed

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years cath lab experience required; IR experience preferred
  • Experience recording and circulating procedures, including moderate sedation (Fentanyl and Versed) with onsite sign-off
  • EPIC EMR experience preferred
  • Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
  • Candidate DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide nursing care across combined Cath Lab and IR procedures, including recording, circulating, and administering moderate sedation
  • Onsite orientation lasts 1-3 days
  • Scrub color requirement is procedural attire
  • Free parking available on site
  • First-time travelers considered upon review
  • Former employees of Advocate Health or subsidiaries must be separated at least 12 months before being eligible for travel assignment
  • Up to 7 days of requested time off can be approved
  • Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restrictions
