Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). This position plays a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients with diverse medical needs.

Unit Information

• Common Diagnoses: Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory issues including COPD, DKA, Sepsis, Myocardial Infarction (MI), CV stepdown, and post-operative care.
• Specialty Equipment: Temp pacer, Chest tubes, A lines, Bipap, and Neptune Vapo.
• Ventilator Experience: Chronic ventilators requiring assistance from Respiratory Therapy.
• Patient Demographics: Patients aged 18 years and older.
• Number of Beds in the Unit: 64 beds, with 15 designated for Neuro patients.

Shift Details

• Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
• Floating Required: Yes
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Intermediate Care or Progressive Care Units.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Active NY nursing license and all relevant RN licenses must be verified.
• Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC, required.
