Job Summary:
Inpatient Speech Language Pathologist (SLP IP) position located in Hilo, Hawaii. This role involves providing specialized inpatient speech therapy services, including independently conducting Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS) and supporting rehabilitation patients in acute care and skilled nursing facility settings. The candidate must possess Hawaii licensure and be proficient in handling procedures without supervision.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Hawaii licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure, current BLS certification, a minimum of 2 years of experience preferably with skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation hospital experience. The candidate must be able to independently complete Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in acute care settings and familiarity with inpatient rehabilitation techniques.
- Additional Information: Candidate must arrive the Thursday prior to the start date to attend employee health appointment on Friday. Flexibility for floating to other units or facilities may be required depending on census and staffing needs. Dress code is scrubs or as per hospital policy. EMR documentation training will be provided along with orientation to rehabilitation area and expectations.
