American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for an inpatient rehab unit at a Level 3 Trauma Center, offering a day shift schedule and welcoming new graduates.

  • Inpatient rehab unit setting at a Level 3 Trauma Center
  • Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, 5x8s with possible 4x10s
  • 40-hour work week guarantee
  • Weekend requirements are voluntary
  • No on-call requirements
  • Epic EMR used for documentation

Requirements

  • Active state SLP license required (compact license accepted), if applicable
  • Current BLS certification (AHA preferred, ARC or US Military also accepted)
  • Valid driver's license required
  • New graduates welcome to apply
  • Prior travel contract experience preferred
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Mandatory reporter certification required
  • Work history and discipline-specific skills checklist required
  • Supervisory reference form completed within the last two years required

Additional Information

  • Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
  • Provide speech-language pathology services to inpatient rehab patients
  • Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day)
  • Limited to 1 day off request during the Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year holiday periods
  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
  • Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or float pool PRN) are ineligible to work travel assignments at other UPH markets within 12 months
  • First-time travelers will be considered
