  • Position Description: Inpatient Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), providing therapy for adults and geriatrics with stroke, Parkinsons disease, neurological conditions, swallowing deficits, and cognitive impairments.
  • Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Kansas Speech-Language Pathologist license in hand, BLS certification, 1 year of experience, knowledge of acute care, dysphagia, communication devices, assessments like Modified Barium Swallow Studies, and familiarity with electronic charting systems such as Epic.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with stroke, neurological conditions, and swallowing impairments.
  • Additional Information: Availability of 24 hours orientation; opportunity to treat on an 18-bed rehab unit with an average daily census of 8-9 patients in rehab, including evaluations and treatments for swallowing, language, and cognitive deficits.
