Travel Recreational/Activity Therapist Opportunity
Assignment Details – Activity/Recreational Therapy
- Specialty: Behavioral Health
- Location: Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND
- Duration: 13 weeks with potential to renew
- Full-Time, 30 hours per week
- Shift: Day shift, Tuesday, Wednesday,Thursday 8 hours and Saturday,Sunday 3 hours (no shifts on Monday or Friday)
- Enhanced hourly rate & tax-exempt stipend where applicable
- Weekly rate: $1,712-1,931
- Bi-weekly pay
- Paid travel to/from assignment

Job duties to include:
- Design and implement therapeutic activities for patients based on thorough assessment of patient's symptons, professional/referral input, and all other available data
- Evaluate and document patient responses to treatment and progress towards goals to develop recommendations for discharge and aftercare
- Conduct individual and/or group sessions in accordance with state/regulatory standards
- Provide appropriate education, resources, and support for patients before, during, and after treatment
- Provide high quality patient care, displaying good skills in assessment of patients’ functional needs and outcomes; consulting with and participating as part of the patients’ treatment team
- Complete and maintain all required documentation in a timely manner consistent with policies and regulations
- Assess patient needs regularly and assist in the developing and updating of the Master Treatment Plan
- Work within a team environment to ensure that each treatment modality is appropriate for the patient
- Provide group educational therapies to assigned patients consistent with established techniques and methods

Travel Therapist Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
- Licensure/Certification: Certified Therapeutic Specialist with CTRS certification or may consider Music, Art, or Dance such as Registered Art Therapist, Certified Music Therapist
- Experience: Two (2) or more years' experience providing activity therapy; prefer experience in a behavioral health/psychiatric setting
