Description

American Traveler is seeking an Inpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of acute care experience to join a hospital rehab team.

Details

  • Inpatient rehabilitation department staffed by PT and OT providers
  • Coverage provided across inpatient hospital floors
  • Patient population ranges from birth through elderly age
  • Patients present with musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and post-surgical diagnoses
  • 40-hour workweek, 5x8-hour day shifts beginning at 8am
  • Weekend rotation required
  • Holiday coverage as needed

Requirements

  • Active MA PT license required if applicable
  • Current BLS certification (AHA Healthcare Provider) required
  • Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience in an acute care setting required; 2+ years preferred
  • Strong patient handling and transfer technique skills required
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with nursing, physicians, and case management
  • Strong time management skills with ability to multitask and work independently

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include evaluating and treating inpatients across varying ages and diagnoses as part of a collaborative rehab team
  • Must be a flexible, self-directed team player comfortable in a fast-paced acute care environment
  • Local candidates accepted
  • 50-mile radius rule applies for travel rate eligibility
