Description

American Traveler is looking for an Inpatient Acute Physical Therapist for a Level 2 trauma center, requiring 2+ years of experience.

Details

• Acute care setting at a Level 2 trauma center
• Day shift 8:30 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday
• Minimum of 2 weekend days per month required, with more availability optional
• Treats neurological, orthopedic, cardiovascular, oncological, and general medical conditions
• Works across all units within the hospital, mostly located in one tower
• Uses Cerner EMR for documentation
• Large interdisciplinary rehab team of approximately 45-50 associates including OT and speech therapy
• Core team includes about 8 physical therapists and 3 physical therapist assistants, plus approximately 7 PRN staff

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
• PT license required if applicable
• Must be able to work independently with strong critical thinking and decisive judgment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
• Must be comfortable overseeing physical therapy assistants, students, and support personnel
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Responsibilities include performing initial and ongoing patient assessments and establishing individualized care plans
• Utilizes standard physical therapy techniques and interventions appropriate to patient condition
• Engages regularly with the interdisciplinary care team
