Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Infusion. The position provides ambulatory oncology infusion care in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting. Responsibilities include administering treatments, monitoring patients throughout therapy, responding rapidly to emergent situations, and providing ongoing education and clinical support.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse license; minimum of 2 years of registered nurse experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)/OCC chemotherapy and immunotherapy provider card; oncology infusion experience; chemotherapy competency; proficiency with peripheral intravenous insertion and blood drawing; experience accessing, maintaining, and de-accessing central lines; strong assessment skills across a variety of medical conditions.
- Preferred Qualifications: Electronic medical record experience with Epic/Beacon; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; previous travel experience; ambulatory experience; emergency room experience; advanced proficiency with intravenous insertions.
- Schedule: Day shifts consisting of four 10-hour shifts, generally 8:00 a.m.6:30 p.m.; Saturday shifts generally 7:30 a.m.6:00 p.m.; 40 hours per week; two Saturday shifts within a six-week schedule; holidays as needed by the unit.
- Additional Information: The registered nurse will continually monitor patients throughout treatment and intervene rapidly in emergent situations. The role includes participation in Central Nursing Orientation, offered on the second and fourth Monday of each month. Patient care is provided in a supportive environment focused on ongoing assessment, treatment monitoring, and patient education.
