Registered Nurse - Cath Lab | RN | IL

Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in the Cath Lab. This role involves working in an acute care setting where you will provide high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience with intermediate care patients and proficiency in handling complex clinical situations such as stroke, cardiac, and surgical cases.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care for patients with common diagnoses including stroke, cardiac, sepsis, and surgical conditions
  • Perform trach cares, bipap management, stroke care, and IV titration
  • Titrate medications such as Heparin, nitro, cardizem, levo, cardene, and precedex
  • Collaborate with charge nurses and CNAs to ensure quality patient care
  • Interpret ECG strips in collaboration with monitor techs
  • Participate in a weekend and holiday rotation as required
  • Float as needed throughout the facility, excluding ER & OB

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active IL license or application in process
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA), NIHSS - AHA Only
  • Experience with trach care, bipap, stroke, and IV titration
  • Must understand and commit to a Drug-Free Campus policy
