Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) located in Wausau, Wisconsin. This 13-week assignment offers an opportunity to work in a high-acuity observation and inpatient setting. The role involves floatation to various inpatient units, with a focus on providing quality patient care on a unit with an average patient stay of up to 48 hours.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Wisconsin RN license, BLS certification, ACLS certification (AHA or ARC), NIHSS highly preferred, ability to read and interpret EKG strips, minimum of 3 years of clinical experience including at least one travel assignment.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in observation units, medical-surgical or telemetry units, ability to manage complex patient scenarios including cardiac drips and post-op care.
  • Float: Float to all inpatient units as needed, including Intermediate Care and Telemetry units.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must have charting experience with EPIC electronic medical records. Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to manage change effectively are highly desirable traits. Candidates should demonstrate a positive attitude, independence, and collaborative skills to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Scrub colors are flexible.
