Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent registered nurse experience required
• Active Illinois RN license required at time of submission
• BLS and NIHSS required
• ACLS preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience in telemetry, neuro stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC, or stepdown nursing settings
• Strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• Experience with high-acuity adult med-surg, cardiac, neuro, respiratory, and post-procedure patients preferred
• Comfort working in a fast-paced healthcare environment with high patient throughput
• Ability to float within scope as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside care for adult cardiac stepdown and intermediate care patients
• Monitor telemetry, interpret rhythms, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Manage complex patients with cardiac, neurologic, respiratory, renal, and post-surgical needs
• Administer medications, manage drips within scope, and support procedural care as assigned
• Perform skilled assessments, implement care plans, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Support patients requiring wound care, isolation precautions, ventilatory support, and advanced respiratory interventions
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and promote safe, efficient care delivery
• Collaborate with rapid response and specialty support teams to ensure the best outcomes for patients
