• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Unit Focus: Telemetry, oncology, cardiac, PCU/DOU/IMC, and stepdown care
• Weekend / Holiday Expectation: Every other weekend and some holidays required
• Orientation: 36 hours

Job Requirements

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care Registered Nurse experience within the last 3 years
• Current experience in PCU, DOU, IMC, stepdown nursing, or cardiac telemetry
• Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and progressive care experience required
• Ventilator and transplant experience required
• Experience in an academic Level I or Level II trauma center, or a similar large hospital setting
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required
• Epic charting experience required
• Ability to pass a telemetry exam prior to start
• Willingness to float as needed and work collaboratively across units

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to acutely ill adult patients with multiple comorbidities and hemodynamic instability
• Care for patients in both general care and IMC-level assignments within a cardiac stepdown unit
• Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
• Manage cardiac drips, insulin drips, IV therapy, and other high-acuity interventions as needed
• Deliver care for patients with complex diagnoses including pulmonary hypertension, cystic fibrosis, and post-lung transplant needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support quality outcomes and coordinated care
• Support a fast-paced surgical and trauma environment with strong attention to safety, patient advocacy, and clinical best practices
• Float to related inpatient units as needed to meet patient care demands
