Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Intermediate Care CV Unit position requiring stroke patient experience and NIHSS certification.
Details
- Work in the Intermediate Care CV Unit of a hospital setting
- Cares for intermediate care cardiovascular patients including stroke patients
- Schedule consists of 3x12hr day shifts, 0700-1930
- Weekend requirement of 6 shifts within an 8-week schedule as part of holiday rotation
- No on-call responsibilities
- May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active RN license (Single State or Compact) required, CO or compact license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA) required and must not expire prior to start
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the specialty required
- Experience working with stroke patients required
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- TNCC certification preferred
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
- No pending license allowed
Additional Information
- Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
- Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care
- Conducts health teaching and counseling for patients
- Documents care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Holiday rotation coverage is required
- Returning Intermountain permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for this assignment
