• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,770 - $1,860
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; 6 weekend shifts during the contract
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Float Expectation: May float to ICU, ED, and Med Surg as needed
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Charting System: Cerner

Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for assignment in Maryland
• At least 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience required
• Must have completed at least 1 prior travel nurse assignment
• Experience in both IMC and ICU settings preferred
• Cerner experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum score of 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Strong critical care skills, including cardiac telemetry, ventilator support, tracheostomy care, and management of non-titratable drips
• Comfortable working with adults and geriatric patients in a high-acuity hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for patients in IMC and ICU settings
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes with strong clinical judgment and critical thinking
• Care for patients with cardiac, neurologic, respiratory, and GI/GU diagnoses
• Manage ventilators, tracheostomies, HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, and oxygen therapy
• Administer and monitor blood products, cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, and IV insulin protocols as assigned
• Perform and support central line, PICC, peripheral IV, and chest tube care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
• Support telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, rapid response, and code team interventions
• Float to ICU, ED, or Med Surg units as needed to meet patient care needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit-specific policies and procedures
