Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an ICU/Stepdown position requiring at least two years of recent ICU experience and recent travel nursing experience.

Details

• Work in the ICU/Stepdown unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Floating required as needed
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Hurricane sign-up required but not guaranteed

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certification via AHA
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum two years of recent full-time ICU experience required, including vent therapy and hemodynamic drips
• Recent travel nursing experience required
• Experience in SICU, MICU, and Trauma preferred
• Stepdown/PCU experience preferred
• Degree must be from an accredited school or an institution approved by the Florida Board of Nursing (FBON)
• If degree is from an FBON-approved institution, two years of recent acute care experience within the past 24 months in a US hospital is required
• Must successfully complete a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review
• Must pass a Basic Arrhythmia assessment, scoring 100% in lethal rhythms and 83% or higher in all other sections

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a critical care/stepdown environment
• Smoke-free facility
• Must complete lab testing within 72 hours of signing
• Candidates from Operation Nightingale Schools not accepted
• Local candidates accepted within a 60-mile radius at a lower rate
• Former Broward Health employees must be separated from the facility for one year before returning as a traveler
