Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a high acuity Stepdown Unit position requiring 1 year of ICU experience and NJ or compact RN licensure.

Details

• High acuity Stepdown Unit (SDU) setting within a hospital
• 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a), 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Floating as needed to units within the facility or sister hospital
• On-call responsibilities required
• Uses EPIC charting system

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care across the continuum from pediatric to geriatric populations
• Perform systematic, comprehensive patient assessments and maintain accurate documentation
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Protocol, and safe patient handling techniques
• Support pre-operative and postoperative patient assessment and education
• Holiday coverage required for one winter and one summer holiday
• Locals accepted at a different pay rate
