Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a stepdown unit position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and a VA or compact RN license.

Details

• Stepdown ICU unit within a 24-bed hospital setting
• Patient population includes respiratory disease processes, neurological disorders, chronic illnesses, and COVID cases
• Patient ratio of 1:3 with up to 3 patients per nurse
• Utilizes Epic EMR
• Administers drips including insulin, cardizem, heparin, Lasix, precedex, and low-dose pressors
• D/N rotation shift schedule
• Weekend requirement of 5 shifts every 6 weeks
• Floating required with priority given to travelers
• 3-day floor orientation

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing in a stepdown unit environment
• Holiday coverage required every other holiday
• No on-call responsibilities
• Scrub requirement: navy blue or solid white tops and pants, with matching solid navy blue or white jackets; undershirts must be navy or white
