Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU night shift position requiring Trauma Level One and prior travel experience.

Details

  • Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care unit in a Level One Trauma hospital
  • Cares for trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
  • 13-week assignment on night shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
  • Every other weekend required with rotating holiday coverage
  • Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
  • BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or RQI required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience in trauma, surgical, and neurological patient populations
  • Trauma Level One experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • Minimum 1 supervisor or manager reference (no charge nurse) within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Competency testing required within 24 hours of consideration, with 2 attempts allowed to pass
  • Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius in specified counties (Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington) are not eligible
  • Only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted for flu vaccination; personal or religious declinations are not accepted
  • More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week period will result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks
  • RTO must be requested at time of consideration
  • No blocked scheduling permitted
