Description

American Traveler is hiring a Neuro ICU/SICU RN for a night shift travel position requiring Trauma Level One and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

  • Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care unit at a Trauma Level One facility
  • Treats trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
  • Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Rotating holiday coverage required
  • 48-hour weekly schedules may be considered

Requirements

  • Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
  • BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or RQI required
  • 2 years of recent ICU experience required, including trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patient care
  • Trauma Level One experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Minimum 1 supervisor or manager reference within the past year (charge nurse references not accepted)
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • US Social Security Number required (Canadian SIN not accepted)
  • Medical exemption required for flu declination (personal or religious exemptions not accepted)

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing to trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Competency testing required within 24 hours of consideration, with two attempts allowed to pass
  • Local candidates not accepted from Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties
  • No blocked scheduling allowed
  • More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week assignment may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks
  • RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration
