Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position requiring previous travel experience and the flexibility to float across multiple critical care units.

Details

• Critical Care Float Pool position within a hospital setting
• Floats across multiple ICU environments including neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, and progressive critical care unit (PCCU)
• Also covers ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• 48-hour work weeks available for interested candidates

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or RQI required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level I trauma center experience strongly preferred
• Experience floating across a variety of ICU units highly desired
• Must pass competency test within 24 hours of submission, with up to 2 attempts allowed
• Minimum 1 supervisor or manager reference within the past year required (charge nurse references not accepted)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Valid US Social Security Number required
• Medical exemption required for flu vaccine declination (personal or religious exemptions not accepted)

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing services across multiple ICU specialties within a Level I trauma center environment
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles are not accepted, including those from Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• Contract termination may result from more than 3 call-outs within a 13-week period, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
