Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU travel position requiring Trauma Level One and prior travel experience.

Details

  • Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care unit in a Level One Trauma Center
  • Patient population includes trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
  • Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Rotating holiday coverage required
  • 48 hour per week schedules accepted for interested candidates

Requirements

  • Active NY RN license required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or RQI required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience in trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients required
  • Trauma Level One experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Competency test must be completed within 24 hours of consideration
  • Minimum 1 supervisor or manager reference within the past year required (charge nurse references not accepted)
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • Medical exemption signed by a licensed professional required for flu vaccine exemption (personal or religious exemptions not accepted)

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing to trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • No blocked scheduling allowed
  • More than 3 call outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks
  • RTO must be requested at time of consideration
  • Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties are not eligible
