Description

American Traveler is hiring a Critical Care Float Pool RN with Epic EMR experience and prior travel assignment experience for a day shift role at a Level I trauma center.

Details

  • Critical Care Float Pool position requiring floating across multiple ICU environments
  • Patient population includes neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, and progressive critical care unit (PCCU) patients
  • Also covers ICU/PCC patients boarding in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement
  • Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Rotating holiday coverage required
  • Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
  • BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or RQI required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Level I trauma center experience preferred
  • Experience floating to a variety of ICU units highly desired
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • Minimum 1 supervisor or manager reference (no charge nurses) dated within the past year

Additional Information

  • Care for critically ill patients across multiple ICU specialties including neuro/trauma, medical, cardiac, and progressive critical care units
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Completion of a competency test required within 24 hours of consideration
  • Flu vaccination required with only medical exemptions accepted; personal or religious declinations not permitted
  • No more than 3 call-outs allowed within the 13-week contract period, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks
  • Candidates residing within Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties are not eligible
