Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Critical Care Float Pool day shift position at a Level I trauma center, requiring prior travel experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Critical Care Float Pool position within a Level I trauma center
• Requires floating across a variety of ICU environments including neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, PCCU, and ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
• Level I trauma center experience strongly preferred
• Experience floating across multiple ICU units highly desired
• Must pass a competency test within 24 hours of consideration, with up to 2 attempts allowed
• Minimum 1 reference from a supervisor or manager (not a charge nurse) dated within the past year
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required; Canadian SIN not accepted
• Medical exemption (signed by a licensed professional) required for flu vaccine exemption; personal or religious declinations not accepted

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing across multiple ICU specialties as part of a float pool team
• Navy blue scrubs required
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week contract will result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• RTO must be requested at the time of consideration
• Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius are not eligible, including those from Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties
