Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU Days position requiring Trauma Level One and Epic EMR experience.

Details

• Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care unit within a hospital setting
• Cares for trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
• Trauma Level One facility
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• 48 hours per week may be considered for interested candidates

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS and other required certifications must be from AHA or RQI
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required, including trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patient care
• Epic EMR experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required; Canadian SIN not accepted
• Medical exemption signed by a licensed professional required for flu vaccine exemption; personal or religious exemptions not accepted
• Competency test required within 24 hours of consideration, with two attempts allowed to pass

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to a mixed population of trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
• Navy blue scrubs required as part of dress code
• Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the facility are not eligible, including those in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week contract period may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• RTO must be requested at time of consideration
• First-time travelers are not considered for this role due to required prior travel experience
