Job Details:
**Job Requirements & Qualifications:** 1. **Experience:** - Minimum of 1 year of experience in the profession. - Previous charge experience is not specified as required. - Experience in Trauma Level II is preferred. - Charting system experience is required, with Cerner experience preferred. 2. **Certifications:** - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) 3. **Skills:** - Experience with a variety of clinical skills and procedures, including: - Accessing/Managing Ports - Arterial line management - BiPAP/CPAP management - Blood Product Administration - Care of Ventilated Patient - Central line care/management - Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac - Craniotomy*, CVA, External ventricular drain (EVD)* - Feeding tube care and management - FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring - Heparin Protocols - High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) - Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)* - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Intracranial bleeds* - IV insulin protocols - Management of dysrhythmias - Oxygen administration (Nasal Cannula, Oxygen tanks) - Pacemakers/Temporary/Permanent - PCA, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown - Peripheral Line Care/Management - PICC line management - Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Post TPA care - Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management - Renal failure - Starting and maintaining IVs - Telemetry - on the unit monitoring - Thrombolytic Agents - Titrate Cardiac drips, Vasoactive drips, and Insulin drips - TR Band, Tracheostomy care/management - Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) - Use of Rapid Response/Code teams - Wound Care/Wound Vac 4. **Additional Requirements:** - Must be able to start no later than 10/20 (10/6 preferred). - Required flu vaccination, with medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed. - Must be willing to float between departments in case of low census. - Local radius restriction within 50 miles; local applicants not accepted. 5. **Patient Ratio Experience:** - Experience with patient ratios of 4. 6. **Patient Age Groups:** - Experience with adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. 7. **Special Procedures/Equipment:** - Familiarity with continuous bedside monitoring and arterial lines. **Licensure:** - No specific licensure requirements are mentioned beyond the standard nursing credentials implied by the role and certifications.
