Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel ICU RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and NIHSS certification.

Details

• ICU setting with a 16-bed unit, including mix of ICU, Stepdown, and MS overflow patients
• Patient ratios of 1:2 in ICU and 1:3-4 for Stepdown patients
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend
• Floating to Stepdown and Medical-Surgical departments required
• On-call required, though rarely needed
• Uses Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (NM state or compact) required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Certifications must not expire within first 30 days of start
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• No employment gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months
• Active driver's license and US SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing in a mixed ICU/Stepdown/MS environment
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Holiday coverage required, including at least one Winter holiday
• Maximum RTO request of less than 1 week
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local travelers not accepted
• Previous CHS facility perm staff employees within the last 2 years will not be considered
