Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring multispecialty ICU experience and MA licensure.

Details

  • Work in a 38-bed (28+10) multi-specialty ICU
  • Patient population includes CCU/SICU/MICU/NEURO/CT specialties
  • 12-hour night shifts on a 36 hr/week schedule
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday required
  • May float to Med/Surg as needed

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN ICU experience in a multispecialty ICU setting
  • Nursing degree required (Diploma, ASN, or BSN preferred)
  • Telemetry experience required with ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills required
  • Basic computer proficiency required
  • Physical ability to meet job responsibilities required

Additional Information

  • Deliver nursing care including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating ICU patients
  • Communicate and coordinate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, patients, and families
  • Update and manage patient records and interpret computerized data
  • Assist leadership with quality improvement projects as needed
  • Supported by a collaborative and dedicated nursing team
  • Must complete a telemetry rhythm test on day one of assignment
  • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local candidates
