ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Assignment Details

• Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: 3x12 Night shifts
• Years of Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
• First Timers Accepted: No

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale)

Key Responsibilities

The ICU RN will be responsible for providing comprehensive and compassionate care to critically ill patients. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Monitoring and assessing patients’ conditions
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement care plans
• Providing education and emotional support to patients and their families
• Documenting patient information accurately in electronic health records

Additional Requirements

• Floating within scope may be required to meet unit needs
• Weekend work required
• Local candidates not accepted; candidates must have a permanent residence at least 50 miles away
• RTO (Request Time Off) approved on an individual basis upon offer; all time off requests must be included in the initial submission

Facility Information

This assignment will take place in an acute care setting known for its commitment to excellence in patient care, recognized as a Magnet Facility and a Level II Trauma Center. The facility has a total of 407 staffed beds and uses Epic for charting. Free parking is available for all staff.
