Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a teaching hospital's Level 2 Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and an active MN RN license.

Details

  • Acute care ICU setting within a Level 2 Trauma Center, teaching hospital
  • Patient ratios of 1:2 across days, nights, and weekends
  • Average daily census of 22 with 25 beds/rooms
  • 3x12-hour shifts available, both Day (0700-1930) and Night (1900-0730)
  • Every weekend shift required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Float required to other medical floors and between Mercy Coon Rapids and Mercy Unity campuses as needed
  • Uses Epic (Excellian) charting system

Requirements

  • Active MN RN license required
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
  • Skilled in conscious sedation, ICP monitoring, pulmonary artery lines, telemetry, and ventilator management
  • Experience with continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration/monitoring required
  • Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
  • Epic/Excellian charting experience may be required
  • Documentation required for consideration includes date of birth, SSN, certification copies, Nursys verification, and RTO details
  • At least one supervisor reference required

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care for critically ill ICU patients requiring advanced monitoring and respiratory/cardiovascular support
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • No parking fees at this facility
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Candidates must be gone at least 3 months from their last shift if previously employed as perm staff or per diem at this health system
  • RTO requests should ideally not exceed 5 days
  • Local candidates accepted; no radius restriction applies to this specialty
  • Pending MN license not accepted; license must be in hand prior to starting
