Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU night shift position requiring Trauma Level One and previous travel nursing experience.

Details

  • Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care unit setting
  • Trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patient population at a Trauma Level One facility
  • Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Rotating holiday coverage required
  • 48-hour weekly schedules may be considered
  • Epic EMR used

Requirements

  • Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
  • BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or RQI required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required, including trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
  • Trauma Level One experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • Must complete a competency test within 24 hours of consideration, allowing 2 attempts to pass
  • At least one supervisor or manager reference required, no more than one year old (charge nurse references not accepted)

Additional Information

  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Provide critical care nursing to complex surgical and neurological ICU patients
  • More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week assignment may result in contract termination, with required make-up shifts completed within 6 weeks
  • RTO must be requested at time of consideration
  • Flu vaccine required, with only medical exemptions accepted
  • No local candidates accepted from Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties
