Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU night shift position requiring prior travel experience and Trauma Level One background.

Details

  • Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care unit setting
  • Patient population includes trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
  • Trauma Level One ICU environment
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Rotating holiday coverage required
  • 48 hour per week schedules may be considered
  • Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
  • AHA or RQI issued certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required in trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patient care
  • Trauma Level One experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Minimum 1 supervisor or manager reference within the past year (charge nurse references not accepted)
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • US Social Security Number required (Canadian SIN not accepted)
  • Medical exemption required for flu vaccine declination (personal or religious exemptions not accepted)
  • Competency test required within 24 hours of consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing to trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Local candidates residing within a 50 mile radius in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties are not eligible
  • No blocked scheduling allowed
  • More than 3 call outs within a 13 week period may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks
  • RTO must be requested at time of consideration
