Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a 38-bed multi-specialty Intensive Care Unit, requiring 2 years of ICU experience and telemetry proficiency.

Details

  • Work in a 38-bed (28+10) multi-specialty Intensive Care Unit
  • 12-hour night shifts, PM shift, 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday required
  • Telemetry monitoring used, requiring independent interpretation of rhythm strips

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN ICU experience required
  • Nursing diploma, ASN, or BSN (BSN preferred)
  • Telemetry experience required, including independent rhythm strip interpretation
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
  • Must pass Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test (A or B) on day one

Additional Information

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and patient education
  • Communicate and coordinate with interprofessional healthcare team members, patients, and families
  • Delegate appropriate patient care activities to colleagues
  • Update and manage patient records and interpret computerized data
  • Follow nursing department guidelines and policies
  • Assist leadership with quality improvement projects as needed
  • Work within a collaborative and supportive nursing team
  • Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate for those residing within 50 miles of the facility
