Description

American Traveler is hiring a Burn/Surgical ICU RN for a rotating shift assignment at a major academic medical center, requiring an active MA RN license and BLS certification.

Details

  • Work in the Burn ICU, a closed ICU model caring for adult complex surgical patients including burns, along with acutely ill medical (SICU and MICU-type) patients
  • Thermal burn patients currently make up a minority (<10%) of the unit's patient population
  • Multispecialty care team model with APPs as primary ICU care providers, supported by admitting surgical teams, consultants, residents, and 24/7 in-house attending physicians
  • Rotating shift schedule
  • 13-week assignment
  • Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
  • BLS certification required (AHA only)
  • Primary source verification of license/certification required within 30 days of start date via NURSYS and BON
  • Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
  • Two professional references required

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing support within a collaborative, closed ICU care model
  • Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the hospital and will receive a reduced rate
  • RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration
  • Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
  • No validated parking available at Boston location; public transportation or paid public parking required
