Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU Days position requiring Trauma Level One and prior travel experience.

Details

  • Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care unit in a Trauma Level One hospital
  • Cares for trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
  • 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Rotating holiday coverage required
  • Epic EMR used

Requirements

  • Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
  • BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or RQI required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience in trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU required
  • Trauma Level One experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • Must pass a competency test within 24 hours of submission, with up to 2 attempts allowed
  • At least 1 supervisor or manager reference within the past year required (charge nurse references not accepted)
  • US Social Security Number required (Canadian SIN not accepted)
  • Medical exemption from a licensed professional required for flu declination (personal or religious exemptions not accepted)

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing to patients in the Neuro ICU/SICU setting
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • 48-hour workweeks may be available for interested candidates
  • No blocked scheduling permitted
  • More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week assignment may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks
  • RTO must be requested at the time of submission
