Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring a CA RN license and 2 years of ICU experience.

Details

  • Work in the ICU of a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
  • Every other weekend requirement
  • On call/call off based on census
  • Requires Epic charting system experience

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license currently in hand
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
  • BSN required
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required (hard requirement)
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, and PICC line management
  • Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and airway suctioning
  • Experience with continuous IV sedation, vasoactive and cardiac drip titration, and emergency medications
  • Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure and cardiac dysrhythmias
  • 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and administration of high-acuity medications
  • Must reside within a 50-mile radius to qualify for local candidate rate
  • Local candidates accepted at the local rate
  • Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
  • Only 1 holiday request approved per contract, covering New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
  • Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
  • Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
  • First-time travelers will be considered if they meet the stated requirements
