Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced MICU RN for a 13-week assignment requiring 2+ years of continuous MICU experience and telemetry competency.
Details
- Work in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU within a Level III Trauma Center
- Care for adult patients with diagnoses including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
- Attendings and residents are present in the ICU 24 hours a day
- RN to patient ratio is 1:2, or 1:1 for high acuity patients
- Floating required to Medical/Surgical units with ratios of 1:4 or 1:5 when floated
- Day positions are Day Rotate, alternating between 7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a shifts as needed
- Night shift does not rotate
- Schedule includes Every Other Weekend (EOW) requirement
- Uses EPIC EMR charting system
- 36 or 48 hour weekly schedule options available
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license required, no conditional licenses accepted
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- 2+ years of continuous Adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU
- Must be able to read telemetry strips
- Telemetry competency required
- Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care to a high-acuity adult ICU population
- Free on-site parking available
- Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility and are subject to a reduced rate
- RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration
- Facility is part of a 400+ bed complex community hospital system with 220 Med/Surg beds plus ICU and Maternity units
