Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced MICU RN for a night shift/EOW position at a Level III Trauma Center requiring 2+ years of continuous MICU experience and telemetry competency.

Details

  • 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU within a Level III Trauma Center
  • Cares for adult patients with diagnoses including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
  • Attendings and Residents present in the ICU 24 hours/day
  • Night shift schedule (7:00 PM-7:30 AM) with every other weekend required
  • 36 or 48 hour options available
  • Night shift does not rotate
  • Floating required, mostly to Medical/Surgical units
  • RN to patient ratio is 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients; 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg areas
  • Uses EPIC EMR

Requirements

  • Active Massachusetts RN license required, no conditional or pending licenses accepted
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certification required
  • 2+ years of continuous Adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU
  • Telemetry competency required, including ability to read tele strips
  • Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care to a diverse adult ICU population with high acuity needs
  • Collaborate with attendings and residents present in the unit around the clock
  • Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of Boston
  • Free on-site parking available
