Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced MICU RN for night shift with every other weekend at a Level III Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years continuous MICU experience and telemetry competency.
Details
- 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU within a Level III Trauma Center
- Cares for adult patients with diagnoses including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
- Attendings and residents present in the ICU 24 hours/day
- Night shift schedule (7:00 PM-7:30 AM) with every other weekend required
- Night shift does not rotate
- Floating required, mostly to Medical/Surgical units
- RN to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients, and 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg areas
- Uses EPIC EMR
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license required (MA Conditional licenses not accepted)
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- 2+ years of continuous adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU
- Telemetry competency required, including ability to read tele strips
- EPIC charting experience
Additional Information
- Provide direct care to critically ill adult ICU patients across a wide range of complex diagnoses
- Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- Free on-site parking available
- Local candidates permitted with permanent residence within 60 miles of Boston, at a reduced rate
