Travel Nurse Job Details

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Shift Pattern: Rotating day coverage may include 7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a when needed; night shift does not rotate
- Setting: Adult Medical/Surgical ICU in a Level III trauma center
- Charting System: EPIC
- Floating: Required, primarily to Med/Surg units
- Patient Ratio: Typically 1:2, with 1:1 for high-acuity patients
ICU RN Job Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of continuous adult ICU experience, preferably in a MICU
- Ability to read telemetry strips
- Strong experience caring for complex adult critical care patients
- Experience working in a single facility or consistent practice setting is preferred
- Comfortable floating to medical/surgical areas as needed
- Ability to work in a team-based, high-acuity hospital environment
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the ICU
- Monitor and assess patients with conditions such as sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, DKA, GI bleed, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
- Interpret telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with physicians, residents, and interdisciplinary team members to support safe, effective patient care
- Deliver care in a 20-bed ICU with a strong focus on quality, safety, and patient outcomes
- Float to medical/surgical units when needed and adapt to varying patient acuity
- Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC
- Support a positive, efficient workflow in a busy trauma center environment
