Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Travel RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position requiring Epic experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details

• Critical Care Float Pool position within a Level I trauma center
• Caring for ICU patients across neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, progressive critical care unit (PCCU), and ICU/PCC patients boarding in the ED and PACU
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Floating to a variety of ICUs required
• 48-hour weekly schedules considered for interested candidates

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or RQI required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Level I trauma center experience preferred
• Experience floating across multiple ICU types highly desired
• Epic EMR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Competency testing required within 24 hours of consideration, with two attempts allowed to pass
• No employment gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months
• One supervisor or manager reference required, no older than one year (charge nurse references not accepted)
• Medical exemption required for flu declination; personal or religious exemptions not accepted

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing support across multiple ICU units as part of a float pool team
• Navy blue scrubs required
• No more than 3 call-outs allowed during the 13-week contract; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• RTO must be requested at time of consideration
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• Local candidates are not accepted from Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties
