Assignment Overview

Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within a Level II Trauma Center in Oconomowoc, WI. This role is ideal for a candidate with experience in critical care settings, providing specialized care for patients with a variety of complex medical needs.

Assignment Details

  • Start Date: Not provided
  • Shift: 3x12 Evenings
  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2430 (negotiable)
  • Floating: Could float anywhere in the hospital within scope of practice. If floating to MedSurg/Tele units or ED Boarding with MS patients, will take 1:4 ratio.
  • Orientation: 2 Day Orientation - Day 1 focuses on ClinEd meeting and unit training; Day 2 includes 12 hours on the unit training with a preceptor.
  • Scheduling: Weekend rotation every other week; 1 holiday per contract.

Responsibilities

  • Manage vent/trach, tube and drain systems, chest tubes, and invasive lines.
  • Interpret cardiac rhythms and titrate medications such as sedation, pressors, and other critical medications.
  • Provide care for general medical and surgical patients including those with respiratory, cardiac, trauma, surgical, and neurological conditions.
  • Work collaboratively in a team nursing environment with support from CNAs, RTs, and hospitalists.

Qualifications

Required:

  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
  • 2 years of ICU experience
  • Proficiency in EPIC EMR

Preferred:

  • Abdominal pressure monitoring, EVDs, CVVH, IABP skills
  • TNCC certification
