Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a rotating shift position requiring cardiovascular ICU experience and MN licensure.

Details

  • ICU Cardiovascular unit within a hospital setting
  • Adult and geriatric patient population
  • Rotating 12-hour shifts covering both days and nights
  • 36-hour guaranteed schedule
  • Required to work every weekend
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • May be required to float to other ICUs (TNICU, MICU) or Med/Surg units when needed
  • Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Active MN RN license required
  • Compact license not accepted
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Adult and geriatric population experience required
  • Experience with fresh open heart surgery patients preferred
  • Cardiac rhythm interpretation skills preferred
  • Experience with Impella and balloon pumps preferred
  • Skills checklist current within 1 year required
  • Two supervisory references with employment dates required

Additional Information

  • Provide holistic nursing care across the lifecycle, from neonates to older adults, following standards of nursing practice
  • Develop and revise patient care plans, coordinate care across disciplines, and delegate tasks appropriately
  • Participate in shared decision-making and continuous improvement of nursing practice standards
  • Galaxy Blue scrubs required per facility dress code
  • MN DHS Background Study and fingerprinting required for all patient-facing roles
  • Strict compliance deadline of 4pm the Wednesday before start date, with no exceptions
  • Candidates with prior work history at this health system or affiliated facilities must disclose this on their resume
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of application, as later requests may not be honored
