Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position requiring prior travel experience, Epic EMR proficiency, and the ability to float across multiple ICU environments.
Details
- Work in a Level I trauma center's Critical Care Float Pool
- Care for ICU patients across neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, progressive critical care unit (PCCU), and ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- 13-week assignment
- Every other weekend required
- Rotating holiday coverage required
- Floating to a variety of ICUs required
- 48-hour work weeks may be accepted for interested candidates
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in critical care/ICU specialty required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required from AHA or RQI
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level I trauma center experience preferred
- Prior experience floating to a variety of ICUs highly desired
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Must complete a competency test within 24 hours of consideration
- Medical exemption required for flu vaccine declination (personal or religious exemptions not accepted)
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing coverage across multiple ICU units and patient populations
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius are not eligible if located in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties
- More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week period may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks of the last call-out
- No blocked scheduling permitted
- RTO must be requested at time of consideration
