Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift position requiring ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications and a PA or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital setting
• 1:2 patient ratio
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Floating required within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed

Requirements

• Active PA or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Valid driver's license required for submission

Additional Information

• Navy scrub color required
• Candidates must be available to work every other holiday
• Must reside over 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address
• Local candidates and local rule submissions are not accepted
• Travel pairs may be accepted based on facility need, though same schedule cannot be guaranteed
• Former permanent employees cannot return through an agency unless separated for at least 2 years
• Travelers are limited to a cumulative one-year assignment within the health system, followed by a required two-year break before becoming eligible to return
• Travelers can only be submitted to one facility within the health system at a time
• Two supervisor references preferred
