Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an ICU night shift position requiring an active MT or compact RN license and at least one year of specialty experience.

Details

  • Hospital-based Intensive Care Unit setting
  • Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
  • May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
  • May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
  • Uses Epic for clinical documentation

Requirements

  • Active RN license (MT or compact) required
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
  • ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required as appropriate for the unit
  • Certifications must be AHA-issued and not expire prior to the assignment start date
  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the ICU specialty required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Date of birth and last four digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted nursing practice standards
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient nursing care
  • Perform health teaching and counseling for patients and families
  • Provide supportive and restorative therapy and treatment directly or through consultation, delegation, or supervision
  • Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
  • Refer patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment
  • Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
