ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Details

This position involves providing comprehensive patient care in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting, specifically focusing on Neuro and Stroke patients.

Scheduling Information

• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: Nights or Rotating Day/Nights
• Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
• Holiday Requirement: As Needed

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience, specifically in Neuro and Stroke units
• Proficient with EPIC Charting
• Must have a passing EKG test score of 80% or higher

Patient Care Ratio

Patient care is delivered with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, occasionally 1:3.

Licensure and Certifications

• Current Illinois Nursing License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification

Floating Requirements

Flexibility to float to other units and potentially to nearby facilities within the region.

Orientation

Orientation is held on Mondays and provides 8 hours of paid training.
