Unit: ICU Contract: Travel Assignment Shift: 12-hour shifts Weekend: Every other weekend Holiday: Rotate with permanent staff Call: None Orientation: 1 × 12-hour shift Float: Primarily ICU; may float to PCU & Med/Surg as needed Regional Float: May float within Region One hospitals; $20/hr premium when floated ICU: 10 beds | Ratio: 2:1 typical, 3:1 stretch PCU: 21 beds | Ratio: 3:1 typical, 4:1 stretch Certifications: BLS, ACLS & NIHSS Experience: Strong ICU experience required Must Have: Ventilated patients, Cath Lab recovery & therapeutic hypothermia Drips: Propofol, Versed, Fentanyl, Precedex, Levophed, Epinephrine, Vasopressin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Bumex, Insulin & Amiodarone Telemetry: Remote monitor techs; RNs must read their own strips Support: Intensivist, hospitalist & 24/7 respiratory therapy Equipment: Ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP & high-flow oxygen Common Cases: Respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, sepsis, DKA & COVID Scrubs: Any professional color Scheduling: Centralized scheduling.
