Start Date: October 5, 2026
Duration: Approximately 13 weeks
Shift: Night Shift – 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Schedule: 3x12s – 36 hours/week

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in a High Acuity Stepdown Unit at Morristown Medical Center. The ideal candidate must have prior ICU experience and be comfortable caring for high-acuity patients in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience – Required
• Active RN License – Required
• BLS Certification – Required
• ACLS Certification – Required
• Strong patient assessment and clinical skills
• Knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures
• Strong documentation and patient safety skills
• Ability to provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care
• Ability to educate patients and families
• Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing – Preferred

• Perform comprehensive and accurate patient assessments.
• Provide safe, competent, and individualized nursing care.
• Monitor high-acuity patients and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
• Demonstrate knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Follow patient safety standards and National Patient Safety Goals.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Perform pre-operative and post-operative assessments as required.
• Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary care team.
• Maintain professional and compassionate communication with patients, families, and coworkers.

• Unit: K3 Stepdown Unit – High Acuity SDU
• ICU experience is required for this assignment.
• On-call may be required.
• Floating may be required as needed.
