Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active MI license and completion of at least one prior travel assignment.

Details

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit of an acute care hospital, with potential to float to CVICU
• ICU patient ratios are 1:1 or 1:2 based on acuity; Step Down ratio is 1:3
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM with a 36-hour guarantee (no 4/12 schedules)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required at time of submission
• Compact licenses not accepted
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
• Completion of at least one prior travel assignment required
• ICU experience required, CVICU experience preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration
• Michigan license verification (LARA and Nursys) required

• Deliver quality nursing care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient needs
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain professional nursing standards
• Direct, coordinate, and delegate patient care activities to support family-centered care
• Navy blue scrub color required
• Facility has a strict 3-strike attendance policy resulting in immediate termination for repeated absences or tardiness
• Candidates requesting more than 7 days off or more than 50% of holidays off may experience delayed processing
• No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested
• Local candidates within a 35-mile radius are accepted at a reduced travel rate
• Former full-time McLaren employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of their employment end date
